55 OBITUARIES ES AUGUST 12, 1988 THE RECORD of New York, died Wednesday. He was born in Greece and came to the United States in 1953. He was a manager at Tops Diner, East Newark. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Golemis Arvanitis; a son, George C. of New Milford; and two sisters, Maria Petropoulos and Katheren Panegiotopoulos, both in Greece.

CHRIS G. ARVANITIS, 54, of New Milford, formerly SALVATORE "SAM" BIAZZO, 87, of Paterson Thursday. He was born in Vitoria, Sicily, and came the United States in 1921. Before retiring in 1965, owned Biazzo Poultry Store and I Biazzo Dairy, both Paterson. He was a parishioner of St.

Stephen. R.C. Church, Paterson, and was a member of the Golden Center and the St. George Leisure Club, both in Paterson, and the Textile Foreman's Guild. Surviving are wife, Frances Rovillo Biazzo; and a sister, Carmella Biazzo of Paterson.

BEATRICE GLOTZER CHENKIN, 68, of Teaneck died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1985, she was statistics unit supervisor for the Council of Jewish Federations, New York City, where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of the Workmen's Circle and American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Union Local 107 and she was a co-founder of the Bergen County I. L. Peretz Synagogue, Hackensack.

Surviving are her husband, Alvin; two daughters, Shura Chenkin and Deborah Chenkin, both in California; a son, Carl in Pennsylvania; and three brothers, George Glotzer and Leon Glotzer, both in Florida, and Murray Glotzer of Paramus. Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Plaza Memorial Chapel, New York City, with entombment in the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. ANTON HELLER, 78, of Niantic, formerly of Bogota, died Thursday. Born in Austria, he came to the United States in 1938. Before retiring in 1979, he was a window display manager for B. Altman and New York City, for 30 years. He was a 40-year member of the New York City Art Students League.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Niantic Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Purvis Heller; a son, Wilbur A. of Portsmouth, R.I.; a daughter, Charlotte Michalek of Manly, Iowa; a brother, Louis Kofler, a step-brother, Ferdinand Jefferer, and four sisters, Cilli, Louise, and Mitzi Kofler, and Wilamina Konrad, all in Austria, and two grandchildren. Mr. Cugini was a 1966 graduate of Wagner College on Staten Island. He received a law degree in 1973 from New York Law School and was a member of the American and New Jersey bar associations. He was an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hackensack. He was a member of the Tax Executive Institute, the Committee of Banking Institute on Taxation, andthe New Jersey Taxpayers Association board of directors, and was a trustee of the Public Affairs Research Institute.

He served in the Navy. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Wolin Cugini; a. son, Jared and a daughter, Sarah both at home; his parents, Louis F. and Joanna diGiovanni Cugini, and two sisters, Helen Pelano and Janice Miney, all of Whippany. Services are today at noon at Gutterman-Musicant, Hackensack, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, the Bronx.
