THE JERSEY JOURNAL, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1976 Lawrence Altomonte, Marion Dem leader, 89 An active Democratic figure in the Marion section of Jersey City for many years and former businessman, Lawrence Altomonte, 89, of Jersey City, who died yesterday in the Bayonne Hospital, will be buried Monday. A 10 a.m. Mass will be offered in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, for Mr. Altomonte, father of Anthony Altomonte, former city councilman and Hudson County freeholder.

Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. A native of Italy, Mr. Altomonte had immigrated to the United States 76 years ago and had lived all of that time in the Marion section. LAWRENCE ALTOMONTE Was businessman Several years after his arrival, he went into the trucking business. Mr.

Altomonte was John Grissoni Sr. Mrs. P. Lefkowitz A former Hoboken resident, John Grissoni 76, of Pompano Beach, who died yesterday in the Cyprus Community Hospital, Pompano Beach, will be buried Monday in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, after a 9:15 a.m. Mass in St.

Francis Community Health Center, Jersey City. Mr. Grissoni was born in Hoboken and had lived there most of his life, prior to moving to Pompano Beach. He was a retired checker and had worked on various Hoboken piers. president of Marion Trucking firm.

He had the exclusive distribution of cigarettes for, the P. Lorillard Tobacco Corp. in the Metropolitan area. Mr. Altomonte served as a Democratic party leader under six mayors.

In 1969, Mr. Altomonte was appointed campaign adviser of the Hudson County Democratic party. He was also a former member of the Jersey City Planning Board. According to a close friend of the family, Mr. Altomonte was chairman of many charitable organizations for his parish and community.

Altomonite had been employed more than 20 years by the Jersey City Department of Health. The Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City, is handling arrangements. Mrs. M. Kane A service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m.

at the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus, for Mrs. Mathilda Kane, 85, of North Bergen, who died yesterday in Christ Hospital, Jersey City. Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Kane had resided many years in the North Hudson area. She was a retired laundry worker.

Mrs. Kane will be buried in Bay View Cemetery, Jersey City. The J. Hardin will officiate at services Monday morning.
