Khloé Kardashian is a doting and dedicated mom of two.
The Kardashians star first became a parent in April 2018 when she welcomed her daughter, True Thompson, with her then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Just days before True's birth, Kardashian learned that Thompson had allegedly been unfaithful. Still, she allowed him to be in the delivery room.
The couple faced a series of ups and downs before deciding to have another baby together via surrogate. Kardashian ultimately split from Thompson in June 2021 and discovered he was expecting a baby with another woman that December.
Their son, Tatum, arrived in July 2022, and the pair have managed to maintain a "great friendship" as co-parents.
"He's the nicest guy and we get along so well now," Kardashian said on the SHE MDpodcast in May 2024. "We're not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids."
The reality star enjoys the different aspects of parenting. "For me, I genuinely feel like I was made to be a mom and there's no other place I would rather be than [home] with my kids,"she said on an episode of The Kardashians in June 2024.
From True's birth to her surrogacy journey with Tatum, here's everything to know about Khloé Kardashian's kids.
True, 6
Kardashian welcomed her first child, daughter True, on April 12, 2018, in Cleveland, Ohio.
The idea for the baby's name was initially a suggestion from Kardashian's grandmother, Mary Jo "M.J." Houghton.
"She told me it was my great-grandfather's first name and my grandfather's middle name. It stuck with me for my entire pregnancy and was the only one I couldn't get out of my head," the Good American founder recalled. "I love that it's a family name."
But her name isn't the only thing True inherited from her family. Kardashian says her daughter is already following in her footsteps with certain habits.
"I am incredibly clean and organized. I like everything in its place. I'm very regimented. And I don't want that for True, but she already has so much of that," she shared in November 2021 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I feel bad that she has so much of it so young, but every toy has to be put back exactly where she got it from."
Despite the ups and downs between Kardashian and Thompson over the years, the Cleveland Cavaliers player has remained an active part of True's life. "The focus is on True and they have the same goals for her," a source told PEOPLE in April 2022. "They want her to have the happiest childhood possible."
When True turned 4, Thompson couldn't attend her birthday party due to a basketball game, so he had a present delivered to Kardashian's house. The gift, a diamond necklace, was estimated to cost $25,000.
In April 2024, Kardashian's "sweet, silly but serious, sensitive but strong, kind, beautiful, loving little Tutu" turned 6. "You changed my life forever and I love every part of who you are," the reality star wrote on her Instagram Stories.
Roughly a month later, Kardashian took True and Tatum to their first Cleveland Cavaliers game to watch their dad play.
"True had the time of her life," the mom of two shared on an episode of The Kardashians in February 2025. "She’s so proud and she was so excited to see her dad play and just be in that atmosphere.”
Tatum, 2
In July 2022, a rep for Kardashian confirmed to PEOPLE that she was expecting her second child with Thompson via surrogate.
"We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November," the rep shared. "Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing."
A source also informed PEOPLE that the baby was "conceived before it was revealed to Khloé and the public that Tristan was having a baby with someone else in December [2021]."
Tatum arrived via surrogate on July 28, 2022. Kardashian was wary about allowing Thompson to visit the hospital for the birth of their son, but he was ultimately present for the big day.
During a May 2023 episode of The Kardashians, the reality star admitted that welcoming her son via surrogacy was "hard for me" and shared that she felt less connected to Tatum than True after her birth.
That connection has since blossomed, and she couldn't be more in love with Tatum, whom the Kardashian/Jenner family affectionately calls "baby Rob" due to his uncanny resemblance to his uncle Rob Kardashian.
In July 2024, Kardashian and Thompson celebrated their son's second birthday.
"How are you two years old already?!" the reality star wrote on Instagram. "I am so proud to be your mommy. So proud of your beautiful, gentle, polite, intelligent, loving, infectious spirit. You light up every single room."
In a separate Instagram post, the NBA player added, "Man time goes by so fast! Watching you grow every day makes my heart happy. Daddy loves you so much."
